Meet the Founder, Illinois Attorney Cynthia Pietrucha

Co-Chair of the Disability Rights Committee for the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association

Selected as Top 40 under 40 Illinois Employment Lawyers by The National Black Lawyers

A human rights advocate at heart, I advocate for individual clients before state and federal government investigators, administrative law judges and hearing officers, EEOC mediators and in court.

My passion for advocacy began in 2006, when I traveled to the Mexico-U.S. border as a labor law delegate.  I visited Mexican workers in their homes and saw the harsh realities of U.S. companies meeting low cost solutions at the expense of human workers in sweatshops.   The majority worked long hours assembling goods for export without proper breaks, safety equipment or enough wages to afford basic groceries.  The more extreme cases included workplace injuries that resulted in missing limbs.  Using common sense fairness, I helped workers develop strategies to fight for fair workplace rights and encouraged self-esteem building and confidence in hopeless situations.

Now, over 10 years later, my firm empowers American employees to resolve workplace disputes by developing practical resolutions for individual employees.  As  employee rights advocates, we help investigate, evaluate, identify and recommend appropriate corrective actions, monetary settlements or mediation of workplace disputes.  We've reviewed hundreds of personnel files pursuant to the Illinois Personnel Records Review Act and through comprehensive review, we recognize evidence of illegal actions to advance our client's cases, representing clients in front of state and federal government agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and for unemployment benefit disputes, the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES).  It's our pleasure to serve employees and employers in resolving workplace disputes.
